This video is edited using MediaCoder, FrateAdj, and Windows Movie Maker.
I use the stock Rock Band 2 drum kit and stock Rock Band 2 pedal at the time of recording.

*CAUTION QUIET VIDEO TURN DOWN THE VOLUME AFTER THIS VIDEO*

After 24 total hours of work, a massive hiatus, an all nighter on Christmas, an internet meltdown, a week of frustration, multiple upload attempts, and a really slow computer, I have finished Panic Attack by Dream Theater. Sorry it’s late, but I hope you enjoy it. Dedicated to my fellow Dream Theater lover, Nerdgasm84. Go to his channel and subscribe to him. Even if he doesn’t have any videos. DO IT!!!

I didn’t annotate anything because it’s a long and tedious process. Essentially, you’ll see a lot of little changes throughout the song. All done by ear (and with help from Rock Band 2), for I cannot read music. Tempos:
500 for the regular music
1000 to incorporate double bass for the drums
1500 for the solos and awkward 3/4 4/4 combos

I hope to be starting my Mario Paint Composer tutorials soon. Look for them coming up in (hopefully) mid January.

I do have a real drum set, but the only cymbals I have are hi-hats. I don’t have any cymbal stands yet though. Hopefully I can get a hi-hat stand soon. It’s probably going to be a long time before I get any too. I just really don’t have that kind of money right now.

I’m left handed. I play right handed though. I do everything left handed, except play instruments.

My gamertag is hheemm. I don’t really play too often. I only play around 12:30 at night. Please, no random invites. I never accept invites from people I don’t know, or people who don’t send me messages first. I usually play other non-gh games online with xbox live friends from 9:00 to 12:00. Well this only took 6 tries over the 2 days I went for it. One of those 6 was the choke and in 2 others I had an FC past the bridge but I’m just glad I got this. This is one of my better FC’s and I’m glad I Got both on the SAME RUN for once DDD. But I’m at 78/84 now.

Songs remaining: Visions, Painkiller, Teenage Riot, Peace Sells, Aqualung, Bodhitstathva.

I’ve already recorded a battery FC and I’ll try to re-FC Shoulder to the plow soon as well.

Full Combo of Panic Attack by Dream Theater, which is the final song in the final tier of difficulty for drums.

This is by far my best accomplishment ever. As you guys saw from my past two videos, this was kind of overdue, but I don’t care, I’m happy I did it. This is one of the hardest songs ever to FC.

So yeah, 1st place cross-platform! I knew I would get it, too, since I can’t imagine anyone else squeezed as much as I did on a song like Panic Attack. The score is 600 under optimal. All 600 of those points were lost because of the three front-end squeezes I didn’t do because they were too hard. Take the first activation for example- it’s an RY squeeze, but I only squeezed the R. That Y would’ve been an extra 200.

Another thing- this was my 80th/84 on-disc Drum FC, and this completed my 78th/84 OMBFC. For drums, I have Shoulder to the Plow, Painkiller, Battery, and Visions left. We’ll see if I can get one of those =]

I have so much to write about this FBFC, yet I am almost speechless. (Ha – who am I kidding? I’m never lost for words). This took us a really long time, probably about 8 hours of playing time total, if not more. Which really reminds me of how much of a life I have.

OK. Seriously. I think we all hate this song now, because we have played it for so long, lol. But this is DEFINITELY the most epic thing to have ever happened on Rock Band. It’s not really easy on any instrument, Guitar has an insane solo, Bass is basically just as difficult as Guitar for the entire song, as well as pretty strange fretting during the “Weird Organ Part” as we began to call it, hahaha. Drums are INSANE. I’ll have to ask Santos exactly how many people have FCed it in general on drums, but it’s not a lot.. Vocals are obviously the easiest (well if you are tone deaf I guess they wouldn’t be easy), but there is one phrase that’s kind of a pain in the if you aren’t consistent.

I can’t believe we did this, honestly. It’s so amazing. I’ve never really been one to brag about our accomplishments, but I think after this we deserve it. I have no reservations this time: This -IS- the most insane and epic thing to have ever been done on Rock Band since it was released.

Make sure you give SantoOs lots of love, he FCed this TWELVE times throughout the course of our grinding. No other drummer has FCed it that many times, let alone in Band Quickplay, where there is a ridiculous amount of pressure. A lot of you hardcore followers know that it was usually JPrez that choked our runs, but don’t give him too much beef.. I’d like to see you FC a song as nuts as that under the pressure he had when it was all relying on him. The worst was probably when he missed in the last 12 seconds of the song. You can imagine how bad he felt after that. We also Full Band 100%ed this, but Negative overstrummed in about the last 30 seconds of the song.

It’s not just about doing the FBFC though. A huge reason why we were able to keep doing it after all of the frustration is because we are really good friends. We support each other and don’t let the game get in the way of our friendship. I think that’s the most important thing of all.
