Tampa, Florida – South Tampa psychologist Dr. Daniel R. Lerom is accused of having sex with a female patient from February 2009 to May 2009.
The identity of the Lakeland woman has not been released.
Dr. Lerom specializes in marriage and relationship counseling and had volunteered at Victory Church in Lakeland, where court records show that the two met.
Documents also show the two had sex numerous times in his office on West Kennedy in South Tampa after a long standing doctor-patient relationship that began back in 1995.
At one point, the doctor even purchased a ring from Tiffany and Company for his patient, records say, with X’s and O’s intertwined on the band.
Those same documents show that a text message was sent concerning the ring, It read, “Remember the importance of [my hugs and kisses] Love, Dan.”
After each “treatment”, Dr. Lerom would bill his patient’s Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, totaling $1,400 in charges from numerous appointments.
Other texts include messages like, “Baby, I am thrilled about getting to spend the afternoon with you tomorrow” and “U were incredible as usual.”
The doctor is also accused of asking his patient for the narcotics, Oxycodcone and Xanax. The patient was prescribed the medication by a different physician, documents show.

A report from the Florida Surgeon General’s Office shows that Dr. Lerom’s wife found out about the affair, and he broke it off with his patient.
Documents show the following text message was sent, “My wife just read this message. They have to stop for a long time until I say it’s OK, this is serious! Dan.”
Shortly thereafter, the patient had a mental collapse and had to be institutionalized.
During the time that she was being treated, the patient suffered from depression, Panic Attacks, anxiety, depression, and detachment disorder, along with hopelessness and rejection by men.
On January 15, documents show that the State Surgeon General issued an emergency suspension of Dr. Lerom’s license.
The patient then filed a lawsuit in late January.
Dr. Walter Afield does not treat the patient, nor does he know the doctor in question. However, Dr. Afield has testified in numerous cases where doctors have alleged affairs with patients.
He says it’s unforgivable, especially with a patient suffering from anxiety issues.
“It’s unethical, it’s immoral, it’s illegal, and you do enormous damage to patients. Doctors are supposed to do no harm,” Dr. Afield says.

The London Upright MRI Centre

Posted by admin on Mar 6, 2010 under Panic Patiences

The London Upright MRI Centre has Englands first upright MRI scanner which is designed with the claustrophobic patient in mind. You can walk into the scanner and, depending on which part of you is being scanned, you sit, lie slightly backward, lie horizontally or even stand in some cases. At all times, you will be able to see around you and you can watch TV or a DVD on our plasma screen monitor. When the scan is finished you simply walk out. Our radiographers will take time to ensure that you are completely comfortable and relaxed.

As you will know, most claustrophobia sufferers have problems with the closed in sensation of a conventional tunnel MRI scanner. Even so called open and wide open scanners cause panic and distress. For claustrophobics, having to lie still in a confined space for a long time, feeling trapped and not being able to see out is highly stressful. It is quite understandable that children can be particularly anxious inside a conventional MRI scanner.

What patients are saying: After several conventional MRI scans that have been made a misery by panic-inducing claustrophobia, I finally discovered the answer. My last scan at the London Upright MRI Centre was a breeze as I could stand in an open-fronted scanner, watching a DVD during the 40-minute procedure – and it was so relaxed and comfortable. Reproduced with the kind permission of Sally X, a patient at London Upright MRI Centre.

Trash Panic Course Stage 1 Blue Can

Posted by admin on Mar 4, 2010 under Panic Patiences

Trash Panic course stage 1 with blue can. This level is pretty straight forward. The best rule of thumb is “always break the lowest item”. I try to keep the dumbells vertical, as when they break, they kind of fall into themselves. When they’re flat, they break and take up more room.

The russian nesting dolls break weird too, so I usually try to get them flat.

The key to this level is keeping the barbell around until the piggybank comes. And then when the fries come, just make sure you have a hard object to break them off of. And empty them first.

Trash Panic is by far one of the most frustrating but rewarding games I’ve ever played. After I finished Main Dish, I put trash panic away for a good 3 months, before returning to finally finish mode.

The common and most frustrating mistake is finishing Main Dish and going into with the same mentality and tactics. Main Dish is more of a “break everything and make the can compact”, while Course is completely different. Course is beaten through patience, understanding what’s next, how best to use it, weird tactics and of course, luck.

Coming straight off of Sweets/ Main Dish into mode is completely depressing as it takes everything you’ve learned how to do and slaps it back in your face…and then on you.

So my advice for starting Course, is be prepared to leave your PS3 on for awhile, have patience and watch what other people have done. For me to finish Hell, it took me over 900 continues, leaving my PS3 on for over a week and probably 30+ hours. However, now that I have finished Hell, it doesn’t take nearly as long to get through it.
